Green Business Certification Program
How to Become CRASH COURSES! WEBINARS! About the Certification Earning Green Business Certification indicates that you are part of an innovative leadership movement to green your business operations and help transition to a sustainable future. It is designed to recognize businesses and other entities that have taken voluntary steps to protect, preserve, and improve the environment. Certified green businesses operate in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to environmental stewardship, and conserve energy and water, reduce their carbon footprint, and generate less waste and recycle more. Businesses that are interested in making their operations more sustainable can use the resources offered through the Green Business Certification Program to achieve this goal. The Green Business Certification Program is a partnership of the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and Montgomery College. CRASH COURSES Position your company to be among the first to get certified in Montgomery County’s new Green Business Certification Program, a voluntary program designed to help businesses go above and beyond basic green measures to reduce their ecological footprint. This class will assist you guide you through the application and strategies to become a green business.

If you are already familiar with the county’s green business certification process and have filled out the application document, you may still have trouble achieving enough “green actions” to meet the program’s requirements. This short course is designed to explore how your organization can most strategically approach remaining green options to achieve certification, save money, and create happy and loyal employees. Have your application document and questions ready to discuss.
