Dan Hoffman was appointed in October 2012 as Montgomery County’s first Chief Innovation Officer.  He is responsible for a portfolio of projects that build and support a platform for innovation in Montgomery County. He also serves as a consultant and advisor to departments and senior management, and an advocate for front line staff and residents with new ideas.

The thoughts and sympathies of the American Red Cross are with all of those affected by the horrific Oklahoma tornado. Thanks to the generosity of volunteer blood donors, there is enough blood on the shelves right now to meet patient need. However, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds and having a steady supply of blood and platelets is vital to our nation’s healthcare system. All eligible blood and platelet donors can schedule an appointment to give in the days and weeks ahead to help ensure blood is readily available this summer.
