Established in 1959, MCCC is an independent non-profit membership organization taking action to help businesses thrive in a strong regional economy.

Myth: All chambers of commerce are affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Fact: Independent. There is no ‘mother ship’ - The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) is an independent membership association that is not affiliated with any national, state or local organization. While MCCC may work with other chambers and regional organizations in support of business advocacy, it also operates independent of Maryland state and local chambers.
Myth: All chambers endorse candidates for elected political office or make donations to candidates or political parties.
Fact: Not Political. Under the official policy established by its board of directors, MCCC does not endorse or fund candidates for elected office to support political campaigns.
Myth: MCCC is only for businesses in Montgomery County
Fact: Planet Earth. You don’t have to be in Montgomery County to be a member.

Not Government. MCCC is a non-partisan independent 501(c)(6), separate from any national, state, local chamber or other organization.
